Gunns Plains Caves
LOCATION : Gunns Plains Cave is located on State Reserve, 26 km south of Ulverstone, in the Leven River valley. |

OVERVIEW : It was discovered in 1906, and later developed and opened to tourists. The cave consists of a series of beautiful caverns and short passages. A creek runs in the cave, and occasional winter flooding can cause brief closure. It is particularly famed for its huge shawl formations. | |
ACCOMMODATION : On site: Ticket office/souvenirs, picnic area. Many motels and other accommodation is available in Ulverstone. | |
CAVE TOURS : Open daily (except Christmas Day). Tours usually run hourly from 10am until 4pm. | |
