Careys Caves (Wee Jasper)

LOCATION : Careys Cave (formerly known as Goodradigbee Cave) is located in the Wee Jasper Valley, 53 km South West of Yass, and 85 kms North West of Canberra.

OVERVIEW : The cave was first discovered in the 1800s, and developed as a show cave in 1968. It is a cave of great beauty with many fine formations,featuring seven main chambers.
ACCOMMODATION :No accommodation is available at the cave. There is a ticket office/kiosk on site, and BBQ and picnic facilities. For accommodation information at Wee Jasper see www.visitweejasper.com.au.
CAVE TOURS : Two tours are available. The Signature Tour (50 minutes) includes 3 chambers featuring a variety of decoration. The Grand Tour (60 mins) which takes in all seven chambers, including wonderful columns, shawls and helictites. Tour times are Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays (except Christmas Day) 12.00, 1:30 & 3:00 pm Fridays & Mondays 12.00 & 1:30 pm (Closed Tuesday to Thursday except by appointment). Wednesdays - School Holidays only 12.00 & 1:30 pm.
